Power of the Pause isn’t about quick fixes.

Our sessions are designed as long-term tools for the nervous system - rooted in science, shaped by experience and delivered with care.

Through grounding meditation and calming breathwork, we help the body shift from fight-or-flight into a state of rest and restoration. With gentle, consistent practice, you’ll begin to regulate stress, ease anxiety and feel more connected.

Over time, this work supports a deeper sense of presence, calm, and self compassion - not by doing more, but by learning to meet yourself where you are.

  • A personalised space to pause, reconnect and return to yourself - wherever you are and in the comfort of your own home.

    Together we explore calming breath-based meditations and gentle guided practices shaped around your needs and intentions.

    Every session is beginner friendly, trauma-aware, neurodiverse-inclusive and focused on choice and comfort.

    There are options to reflect and you will receive gentle after-care to help you carry your pause into daily life.

  • These sessions are a soothing in-person ritual away from the noise, blending calming breathwork and meditation with time to reflect, a warm cup of tea and thoughtful, grounding touches.

    Designed entirely around you, each session is shaped by your needs, intentions and preferences.

    Beginner friendly, accessible and inclusive, with optional extras like journaling, a Shakti mat or Inner Compass card reading.

    After-care is included to help you carry the pause with you, long after the session ends.
    Either held in the comfort of your own home or at Wellness Space in Sunderland.

  • Whether it’s with a friend, partner or small group of loved ones (up to four), this session is your shared sanctuary to pause, slow down and feel held - together.

    Blending soothing breathwork, gentle meditation and space to reflect, each Shared Pause is shaped around your group’s needs and intentions.

    Expect a welcoming atmosphere with beginner-friendly, inclusive guidance and thoughtful optional extras like journaling or Inner Compass cards.

    Either held in the comfort of your own home or at Wellness Space in Sunderland.

A Power of the Pause & Steam & Salt Collaboration

Honour International Women’s Day by elevating your sauna and sea dip ritual with Pause & Immerse - a gently guided morning of warmth, water and self-led restoration.

This gathering offers space to slow down and return to what matters - self-trust, empowerment and deep rest - a grounded, embodied way to mark the day through care, agency and connection.

We’ll begin together with a sauna-based guided meditation, inviting presence, awareness and embodied calm. Held in warmth and stillness, you’ll be supported to soften, settle and listen inward to reconnect with your own natural rhythm.

From the sauna, you’ll be guided in a calm transition to the sea. Gentle breathing guidance is offered to support sea immersion - shared softly, without effort or intensity, allowing you to meet the water in a way that feels natural and supportive to you.

This experience is not about pushing, endurance or performance.
It’s about listening, trusting and honouring the wisdom of the body and the strength found in softness.

Places include a tasty snack and you’re warmly invited to linger to enjoy a hot drink from Crusoes afterwards.

This session follows the usual Steam & Salt format of alternating sauna and sea dips, with short guided meditations offered during the sauna sessions and breathwork guidance during the transition to the sea.

A Power of the Pause & Radiant Universe collaboration

Join us on Valentine’s Day for a heart-opening morning of warmth, reflection and gentle self-connection by the sea.

We’ll gather first at Karma Coast Studio, where you’ll be welcomed by a warming fire and cosy vibes. From here, Issy will guide you through gentle meditation, breathwork and mindful movement, centred on self-compassion, connection and kindness - helping you arrive fully in your body and heart.

After warming refreshments, we’ll ease into scrapbook journaling with Lucie. This creative, reflective session invites you to explore themes of inner connection and self-love through words, images and intuition.

To close our morning together, we’ll grab an optional hot drink from Regular Jo’s and head down to Maggie’s stunning new Steam & Salt cabin for a sauna and sea dip - a beautiful way to integrate everything explored and leaving you feeling refreshed and grounded.

This space is warm, inclusive and welcoming to all - whether you’re coming solo, with friends, as a couple or gifting the experience to a loved one.

Journaling will take place on the floor, please bring a cushion for comfort if needed. We’ll provide a selection of creative materials, however you're warmly encouraged to bring your own journal, photos, clippings or any meaningful items you’d like to work with. If you don’t have a journal, one can be purchased for an additional £5 - please add this to your cart here.

Pause & Plant

Following a sold-out first event, Pause & Plant returns to Nomad Flower Den for a special evening of pausing, reflection and blooming, as we gently ease into 2026.

~

Together we’ll explore beginner-friendly meditation and breathwork, inspired by planting seeds of intention and becoming while letting go of what we no longer need to clear space for authentic growth. Guided journaling resources provided by Radiant Universe will deepen reflection to nurture clarity and self-trust.

It will be an intimate, warming evening of connection, surrounded by fresh flowers - an invitation to pause, realign and grow from a place of ease.
